Where will Rita be on Saturday? Where will Bush be on Saturday?
Where will YOU be on Saturday?

And finally: what will the media be covering on Saturday?

But what I personally want to know is this: what is God/Mother nature up to?
I know one thing. They laugh when you make a plan.

2. Hmmm...
This is a disturbing post. But you're right on. If a Cat. 4 hits Galveston, that'll trump a million people marching on the White House in the media's eyes.

6. these are the most insane times
I lived in South Florida for 20 years. What is happening now with these hurricanes is unprecedented. Something is terribly wrong. This is like living through "Day After Tomorrow," a backward version of "All the Presidents Men", and "Born on the Fourth of July" all at once.

The blogs can't even keep up with the news it's so ridiculous.

My head is spinning.

3. This is Houston we are talking about.
TEXAS!

Pretty boy george is not about to abandon his home state in its hour of need. FEMA will be there in all its glory to save the people of Houston. Then bush will be forgiven for his mangling of Katrina relief.

And they all lived happily ever after.

7. Governor Perry (a Bush appointee)
has ALREADY declared the entire state of Texas a disaster area.

FEMA is already in place here (largely due to Katrina).

4. Well, you know what the media will be covering, and it won't be
rallys. It's gonna be a lot of guys in raincoats hanging on to lampposts.

9. OMG, I completely forgot about the peace march
guess non-stop warnings of 85 mph winds 80 miles inland shifted my focus!

So, yeah - I'm guessing the MSM will shift theirs as well.

15. I think Bush is planning to be in TX this weekend
Isn't he due back in the Gulf region on Friday and Saturday and then to Texas?

Wonder if this will change his plans?

We know for shit sure he won't be anywhere near DC with all those crazy anti-American marchers there. (sarcasm about the marchers but not the chickenshit George.)
