6. Hmm, could be...
Poppy was against the Iraq invasion at the start but couldn't go public against his son.

8. Right, and he must be totally embarassed.
Poppy also has and, no doubt, reps big $$$ interests. He may not like the risk * presents and want a change. I'm trying to find a literary analogy to this but I've come up short. I bet there are numerous historical ones--the King who gets rid of the prince...just can't close the memory gap...for $800.00 name a former King who removed his own son from the thrown...

9. That is what I was thinking...
If Bush* has started drinking to excess - Poppy might be fed up.

2. Sounds like Clinton has gotten the message. Maybe he should inform Hillar
I love that when Clinton always throws it in there that those tax cuts for the richest 1% are benefiting HIM... You know the Repubs just hate it when he mentions that!

7. You know, I don't remember a time...
when Bill Clinton wasn't trashed. Trashed by Republicans and trashed by members of his own party.

I think he was/is able to get through such withering critism is because he's not just brilliant but he's mentally tough.

We didn't realize how lucky we were to have Clinton as president. Just look at where we are now and ask yourself if the country would be in the mess it's in if Bush hadn't been selected by the SCOTUS and Al Gore was now our president.

5. Better late than never.
I'm glad he's finally speaking out.

I don't agree that the problem is in Iraq is too few troops, though. I think the main problems are our huge military bases, our taking all of the contracts for American firms (rather than giving them all to Iraqi firms) and our refusal to heed demands of even the puppet government we set up to
o stop torture,
o stop arrest without cause or even charges and
o agree to leave if and when asked to.

Still, speaking up about other things is great.

Go, Big Dog!
