I can hope, can't I?

Then again, I don't want her to turn into Mexico either.

3. I know the feeling
when I watched Katrina approaching they were fretting whether or not it would directly hit New Orleans, and I was thinking someone's gonna get it no matter what :(

8. According to my Meteorologist spousal unit...
A hurricane will gain strength if it's over water that's greater than 23C (sorry, don't know the imperial measurement). If it's less than that, it will lose strength.

If there are clouds coming east over Mexico, then the water will be cooler and the pressure differencial could send it back the other way. Cool air = higher pressure (it's denser).

That however, would be a miracle.

Clear as mud?

9. I'm not so much looking for a u-turn I guess
so much as a turn away from Texas and esp. away from Louisiana.

Sadly, that would mean I want it to turn toward Mexico, which ain't right either.

Damn.
