Need statistics to rebut in an on-line debate. Help!

Remember the flap when Dean made the comment about the GOP being mostly a party of white Christians? I know I saw some statistics that gave the ethnicity of voter registration. I have someone trying to claim that the Democrats do not have any more minorities (particularly African American) than the Republicans. Can someone give me a really good link to show this guy? I seem to remember something like 82% caucasian in the GOP but know he won't accept my word for it.

Let's get this straight everyone: 98.8% of the Republican Party state representation is white. Why aren't the talking heads discussing the hypocracy of this simple fact? Even more confounding to me, why aren't the Democrats backing Dean up by citing these numbers? You want minorities to doubt the Republican Party, tell them that they only have 1.2% representation in within its ranks
