I've been doing this for a while, and get a poll every couple weeks or so. Usually takes less than 3 minutes to answer the questions, but it's remarkably satisfying to mark that I'm "Very unsatisfied" with Shrub's performance.

1. Can't really "DU" such a poll

not as such, not like you're all hammering some silly AOL or CNN poll. The pollsters have to weight their sampling so's to make it representative of the nation's likely voters/consumers/whatevers.

that said, it is fun to participate in these things, and you can learn a lot from the experience.

6. yeah... the "DU Zogby" line was a bit of a joke

But then again, if all 70,000 of us joined, who knows? :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that Zogby is accepting open enrollment... it's pretty interesting completing the surveys, and as a reward for participating, you get access to some of their results and stuff.

also, in my dreams I wish that Zogby would report that Bush's approval rating among republicans is also trending down.

11. But if a substantial number of people used the same logic...

then polls would not match the current mood of the nation. So when something bizarre happens, like exit polls not matching actual election results, people write it off to people like you screwing around with the polls and not being honest. That's not going to help anyone.
