My relative made it through airport security with a knife
He didn't even discover it until a week into the vacation. Can't the screeners find a five-inch folding knife? What are my taxes going for?

2. Typical ... we are NOT any safer than we were 10 years ago
They restructured airport security to be under Homeland Security and have spent millions on ? - oh gee, I don't know, but it's the same ole, same ole.

The only thing different is that the airport security now works for the government and it takes us, the passengers, much longer to get to the gate. That was worth it!

4. well it's silly anyway
there isn't an airliner in the world that's going to let someone take it hostage with a pocket knife, box cutter, toenail clipper, fingernail file, or dinner plate sized rodeo belt buckle.

Yes, someone might get cut or even dead, but the idiot that pulls the knife will be really most sincerely dead, seeing as how we now know what happens when you don't fight back.

8. There is some technology that's out there that...
shows you naked when you go through it. I don't remember its name, but some people are really upset about it, including me. So, yes, it's possible!

6. I flew for the first time in five years last spring, and I figured out
a way to get a steak knife into the secured area. All you have to do is screen clean, and fly into Bush Intercontinental, go to the International hub where they have really fancy restaurants. They serve steak at some of them. I bet those steak knifes don't get checked in or out.

7. They found my granddaughter's scissors that she uses to cut her
hair and confiscated them. They missed them in Vegas but found them when she went through security at San Antonio Intl.

10. I made it through a month after 9/11 with nail clippers on my keyring.
Didn't even have to be scanned. They were right there in the little basket you put the stuff from your pocket in as you go through the scanners, and no one noticed, or cared.
