2. it will here in Texas
I can't even think about politics now. I have to get the hell outta Houston tomorrow and then wait some excruciating days to find out if my apartment flooded.

I hate hurricanes!

I have been feeling the same way.
I hope not. I hear there is also supposed to be a nation-wide student strike and civil disobedience in DC on Monday... so maybe that will help carry the story through the weekend.

4. State of emergency?
Could TPTB declare martial law for the country? Guess I need to step away from the computer and take off this tinfoil hat.

11. The Corporate News Media relies on profits
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 02:16 PM by Selatius
Which story gets more ratings? (Which translates into profits) Also, which story is less likely to piss off corporate interests that buy advertising space on these networks, which brings in the money for the corporate shareholders?

14. Yes, unfortunately, it will.
I was feeling really bad I can't go (bum hip), but if no one is going to cover it, other than making us feel like we're doing something, what's the point?

16. Yes, it will be ignored
Or worse, made to look like foolishness. Particularly any civil disobedience, which will read like "looting," just causing more problems in an already bad situation. Unfortunately.
