6. I remember watching Hillary Clintons speech on the IWR vote...

and how dissapointed I was, after making what I thought was a pretty good speech for someone who was laying down reasons why she was going to vote no, but then she concluded by pretty much saying, "In spite of all that I just said, I'm going to trust the president, and vote yes anyway." Very dissapointing to say the least.

It had been a long day of speeches and my spirits were beginning to rise as I listened to her. Then came the end of her speech.

Never again will I support her. She showed her true colors that day and has continued to do so.

7. I voted NO, but I also think it's moot... Hillary IS for the war.

I do, however, think the way Cindy did it was wrong. Calling out just one Senator for something almost all Senators support(ed) and still haven't disavowed or apologized for is unfair. I would also like to say that I especially disliked it because Bill O'Reilly said she should do it.

I say she should have called out each and every Senator who hasn't disavowed their IWR vote, and apologized to their constituents.

and totally agree. I think Cindy was most affective as a grieving mom demanding an explanation from the president. It was heart-felt...very real and she had Chimpy hiding all over the country. Calling out one Senator, and threatening her, makes little sense.

I just don't see what is acomplished. Cindy and Hillary have recognizable positions on the war. I can support both. Don't know if that makes me open minded or schizophrenic. I don't doubt that Hillary is pleased by Cindy's outspoken movement to end the war. This just blurs the lines a little further and lends much truth to the freeper argument that libruls have no message.

(If Hillary changes her position because Cindy called her out can I come back and change my vote? I would be wrong in that case.)

I think it's a set up to make sure Dems lose in 2008. Not all Clinton supporters are turncoats, obviously. I think most are sincere. But the sincere ones are being pretty naive about who's electable on our side of the fence and the insincere Clinton supporters are playing them like cheap fiddles.

Were they wrong to be fooled into thinking that Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons and do something as stupid as using one on us or giving one to terrorists to use on us, knowing we have the ability to overwhelming retaliate and incinerate every square inch of Iraq? Would you want an elected official that naive and stupid, who couldn't even remember Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) from the Cold War (which in this case would just be SAD, Saddam Assured Destruction.

Or were they wrong to knowingly support Bush in his lies in the hopes that our oil companies could get their hands on Iraq's oil and they would use that to help us?

Or were they wrong to knowingly support Bush in his lies in hopes that we could stop Saddam and then Iran from trading oil in Euros instead of dollars, which will undermine our economy? Did they think doing this through war was better than diplomacy?

See, in the first scenario, they are too stupid to breathe without assistance, and in the other two, they are as bad as Bush.

So it's tough to go there.

But they should or we should vote their sorry asses out.
