Jack,
"Has hurricane coverage taken too much media attention off the war in Iraq?"
No, it is absolutely necessary to follow a natural disaster of the scope of Katrina.
However, let's take a look at today's cnn.com MORE NEWS section...
MORE NEWS • Katrina's official death toll tops 1,000 | WATCH • CNN/Money: Judge OKs $6B WorldCom settlement • Top-ranking Dem backs Roberts for Supreme Court • Survey reveals cars owners love best • Chanel parts ways with Kate Moss • Jet fakes emergency so passengers can watch soccer
Does "Chanel parts ways with Kate Moss", "Survey reveals cars owners love best", and "Jet fakes emergency so passengers can watch soccer" really qualify to be on the top of the cnn.com page?!
You know, if I want to read about models, I'll pick up Vogue. If I want to read about cars, I'll pick up Car and Driver, but what the heck is it stuff doing at the top of the CNN webpage? I thought CNN was a source for NEWS, not infotainment!
No, hurricanes aren't taking time away from the discussion on the war in Iraq, but this drivel sure is!
Sincerely,
xxxx
