DIEBOLD STOCK PLUMMETS! 15% DROP SO FAR TODAY!
COO Quits! CEO Walden O'Dell Takes Over!

Shares of Diebold, Inc. (DBD) continue to fall in heavy trading this morning after hitting a 52-week low at Tuesday's close as reported last night.

So far, shares have dropped more than %15 today in very heavy trading, along with news that their Chief Operating Officer has resigned and CEO Walden O'Dell is taking over for the moment...

All of this in the wake of our recent report on the Diebold Insider who described the Diebold voting system as "One of Greatest Threats Democracy Has Ever Known"

4. Let their stock continue to fall until it's as worthless as they are
Having Wally "I'll Deliver Ohio for Bush" O'Dell lead the company doesn't give you much confidence.

Can't wait for them to go out of business.

Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 03:22 PM by DeepModem Mom
Let this be the cabal's perfect storm. (And I hesitate to use the word "storm" -- why did this country require a wake-up call as tragic as Katrina before they began to see these people as they truly are?)

12. Walden O'Dell-"committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to
the president next year." Walden Freaking O'Dell.

Voting Machine Controversy
by Julie Carr Smyth
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0828-08.htm

COLUMBUS - The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors - known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

The letter went out the day before Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, also a Republican, was set to qualify Diebold as one of three firms eligible to sell upgraded electronic voting machines to Ohio counties in time for the 2004 election...

Ooooh, three liberal billionaires compared to 1000 conservative ones...Should we take a look at where the funding for Heritage, AEI, Cato, etc. came from?

30. But you must admit that would be interesting to see...
Of course if Soros did buy them out, even if he openned up the code and let the light of heaven itself shine upon the improved system, 'conservatives' by the yachtload would be screaming bloody murder over the company being owned by a 'Liberal'.

There is neither floor nor ceiling to the limits of 'conservative' hypocrisy.

19. Down down deeper and down
Status Quo - Down Down Lyrics

Get down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down deeper and down

I want all the world to see
To see you?re laughing
And you?re laughing at me
I can take it all from you
Again again again again again again again
Deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down deeper and down

I have all the ways you see
To keep you guessing
Stop your messing with me
You?ll be back to find your way
Again again again again again again again
Deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down

Get down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down deeper and down

I have found out you see
I know what you're doing
What you're doing to me
I'll keep on and say to you
Again again again again again again again
Deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Down down deeper and down
Get down

21. Profit-taking by a single large investor.
Look at the graph. That drop happened all at once. That's one large investor pulling out. Probably the RNC doing profit-taking before the shitstorm comes down. Diebold was a company built up for the singular purpose of stealing the 2000 and 2004 elections. Now that its purpose has been served, the founders are pulling their money out.

You're right. The first trade was about $250k worth. The next trade was 160,000 shares--$6 million worth.

22. They won't need Diebold, they'll use the new National ID card as the new
method of disenfranchising voters, that and the new diaspora of Democratic African American voters who might not be able to vote in their adopted states without lots of deliberately manufactured confusion preventing it.

23. The Good and the Bad
The good is obvious here. We all know and are disgusted by some of Diebold's more recent actions.

Among the bad is that they employ many people. I'm sure if they are bought out or go bankrupt it won't just be the repug executives who are unemployed by this. Those assclowns can find a new job easily.

It's not really a wholehearted win.

Bush could be at zero approval for his entire stint and as long as the money is flowing, they don't care.
