Rita likely to be "A REAL disaster"
according to republican party spokespeople.

"This could affect dignificant oil and gas infrastructure and millions of white people.

"Even though landfall is not expected until early Saturday, we are in full emergency mode right now."

The H for 1 pm Saturday is right about over the former pig farm.

8. I've got a question...
This will hit during the protest Saturday. I'm starting to think I shouldn't participate. But the protest is to demonstrate just how inept this WH is so there is even MORE reason to go.
Silly, I know, but help me out here.

13. Why not change any signs
or banners to call for repeal of the tax cuts in addition to bringing the troops home - instead of "anti-war" or "pro-peace," change the message to "responsible Government" or "WE THE PEOPLE need resources at HOME."

We are attending the protest in Los Angeles, I should have said that before. I'll go, but will make a new sign calling for the elimination of the tax cuts, rebuild NOLA.
Thanks, Jawja, and everyone who responded. I'm so angry and upset with everything going on, I tend to get a little sensitive. What a mess we are in!

edit:
Did I forget to say you guys are the greatest!

14. Don't let media hysteria about a storm distract you from the past 4 years
We owe it to the 1900+ Americans killed for the Bush's bloodlust.

The storm is forcast to be a CATEGORY 1 storm on Saturday and to hit as either a category 4 or 3...NOT a 5. Hurricanes don't only get stronger - it will weaken before hitting land.

4. Hurricane Hazel back in 1954 was Hurricane force over PA
after making landfall in NC! It can happen. We could hope that somehow Rita doesn't do that much damage to the rest of Texas, but sits right over Crawford as a Cat 1 or a Cat 2.

And then he'll REALLY understand what the people in NOLA were dealing with when they got flooded.

9. So what category wind do they build these refineries to withstand?
You would think with the billions of dollars in profits, that these bastards could at least build critical infrastructure that can withstand these storms.

This was revealed in 1992. They really live in Kennebunkport, Maine.
