They are still finding survivors in NO!!
Just found this on CNN...

"Rescuers find elderly man alive, wife dead"
http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/21/katrina.rescue.ap/index.html

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- John and Leola Lyons stayed together, locked in their neat little blue house, riding out the killer storm and the flood that followed.

A pair of agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms found the elderly couple inside their house Tuesday, more than three weeks after Hurricane Katrina roared through New Orleans.

John was keeping watch over his wife's body."
...
"He said he didn't hear the rescuers," Smith said. "They had just stayed inside, waiting for help."
---

Now here's the 'kicker' to this story. The agents said the house was marked with an X, meaning a patrol had already gone through (Sept 13th). But they say 'upon closer inspection... the house was not entered because it was locked. It also bore a zero and the letters A and D -- no one alive, no one dead'. So that's when the ATF agents became suspicious and checked out the back door.

Ok, so no one opened the door to check if anyone was alive on the first patrol, Sept. 13th... Whoever was in that patrol did what, 'knocked'? I know we've talked about this before - how are unconscious people supposed to respond to 'knocks on the door'?!

1. They showed a video of them checking a house on CNN....
And that house they did go in because they had to force the door but...no DAMN way in hell they checked the attic because they were in and out in seconds. It would have taken a minute or two just to find attic access and NO one carried in a ladder to climb up.

I thought they were to check all the floor areas and the attic, they didn't on that house....

6. Important thing to notice
a camera was there. Do you think they would have if a camera wasn't there?

2. Makes you wonder how many bodies there are in houses with locked
doors, or in attics they didn't have time to check.

4. they have been under orders not to go in. also, the body count is
going to be skewed if they don't use the actual vs the chalked totals. Poor dear man. I am so sick about this. Bless them both.

9. Unconscious or awake and unable to make it to the door
I mean, seriously, do they honestly expect people who have been stranded for three weeks to go bouncing to the door, throw it open, and invite them in for tea? Is anybody THAT stupid as to expect that?

Unfortunately, those are rhetorical questions. The answers are all too obvious.

Who did the initial patrol? FEMA? The National Guard? Just who are the willfully stupid people who left the helpless to die? Thank God the ATF had more sense than the others.

11. And the whole reason that the ATF even went in was because
they talked to someone who hadn't heard from his sister! So, what are the chances that the right people are going to 'bump into' rescuers that can go 'look again' to see if the first patrol didn't miss people!

I sent this to KO and I'll be sending it out to everyone I can think of...
