Compassion, FR-Style: "Unlike NOLA, Houston Is Worth Keeping"
OMG -- between the crowing over how much better the superior Texans will handle a catastrophe and praying it will "turn toward Mexico" here's another thread that exposes Freepers for what they are: The UGLIEST of the Ugly Americans.

1. They are asking Jesus to make it go away.
These people are simpletons.

3. "say the word Lord and it WILL obey your command!"
Well, that solves THAT problem!

That being the case, you wonder why the next poster councils everyone to buy more guns.

I guess they didn't see The Daily Show last night, where meteorologist Rob Courdrey correctly pointed out that God is just being kind of a dick at the moment.

2. Ugh. Human beings live in both cities, but I have to say...
New Orleans is just a better city. Period.

4. Pray
I love how a bunch of people are stating that this is God's work and people need to pray to help in this situation. I am sorry but God aint gonna stop this train folks. Best thing to do is get the hell out of the way and hope.

5. Oh but there are so many on free republic who are saddened
that New Orleans is out of business for awhile. The closeted homosexual conservative "gentlemen" who use the big easy as a place to "do business" far away from home; to satisfy their sexual desires and swill mass quantities of alcohol and tend to their pleasures of the flesh. You lurkers who are reading are wincing at reading this aren't you? That's okay, the wife and the minister will tend to your needs until the big easy is up and running again. Prayt tell, how does it feel to be a disgusting hypocritical, lying to yourself and family human being? It really does SUCK being a conservative huh?

10. Check the statutes
but I think its alright to have sex in public in New Orleans if the purpose of your activity is not to draw a crowd. In other words today's New Orleans is a fucking paradise for the bush base. No audience, just hypo-critical right wing free republic lust which no one at home will ever know about. They'll just wipe their mouths and go back to bashing bush haters.

14. kinda boring when you think about it!
even with all that cash, the gopigs still have to use deceit and obfuscation and carry on like sneaky little punks...hahaha....the thing about hypocrisy is that hypocrites hate anyone knowing it, which makes them such contemptable villains anchored in denial

6. Been thinking---couldn't this turn out bad AGAIN for George
I mean the contrast of how EVERYTHING is there and ready to ride for TEXAS (his, cough-cough, homeland) and a rich coast line not so infested with those NO low-lifes, you know (sarcasm)has to end up making a hell of a lot of people simmering that this facist government is handing out "life preservers" so to speak to only select citizens of this nation. The question that would be great to raise after this is: Hey, Shithead, are there two plans--one for Red States and one for Blue States and is there a further sub-divide into how Black or White an area is?? Oh, if only we had one brain..just one..in the Dem Party, this razzle-dazzle show he's putting on could be turned right back in his face!!!

7. Houston is very blue, and one of the representatives is Sheila Jackson Lee
who's scary to FR because she's good, liberal, and Black
she's also #98 on Goldberg's List of the Greats
The city also keeps, almost singlehandedly, the "independent" play ranches and big agribusiness elsewhere afloat.

8. Not in my opinion. I'd much rather spend time in NO than that bug-
infested, driving nightmare of Houston. Thought Houston was one of the ugliest cities I was ever in. (No offense to DUers who live there).

hate the traffic there too.

19. Actually, I've never been there
but I'm from LA so I'm used to bashing. It may very well be an unattractive city but I wouldn't say that to anyone who lived there, you know? It's not a big deal, I just get sensitive about stuff like that, haha.

16. if someone from another country said it was okay to sacrifice a US city
... they would be calling for an all-out war!

If I, a Canadian, dared to suggest that New Orleans deserved to perish -- they would be condemning me for "hating America". (And rightly so!)
