2. I've got MSN's streaming video on my pc |
|
They say it's going to attempt to land in about 10 minutes, at LAX.
Crossing my fingers and praying for them.

early reports on Fox said they had dumped fuel. More idle speculation.

4. My stinking cable went out......... |
|
about 20 minutes ago. I'm not watching anything! Freaking Time Warner, they're SOOOOO much more reliable than the Dish, you know? :eyes: If I didn't have a bazillion trees around my house (which I love) I wouldn't have freaking cable in the first place.

8. Ya know..... "if" there was a fin coming off the rear of the gear..... |
|
it would right itself... that is if it is able to freewheel... and I am just about sure this could be a designed in option.... and another thing I have often pondered..... why don't the wheels on planes have fins to get them "spun up" before they hit the runway... this would end up saving millions in the long term. I mean, pinwheels and other wind driven devices work... why not something to help the wheels get ready to hit the pavement??????

11. Ooooooooooh....... I am sure the "engineers" couldn't justify the |
|
cost. I have had ideas for machines over the years... many of them would have been absolutely fantastic, and when you bring them up to someone in the industry... they say... "it would add too much cost to the machine" and that is that. Then I see them putting crap on machines that have no rhyme nor reason and I think about all the stuff that has been ignored for being to costly to implement. I guess if it's not "their idea" then it isn't a good one.

or something. He just pulled off a very, very nice landing. Well, lots of sparks and smoke, but just a beauty of a landing. Give that man a double shot and a Cuban cigar.
