And Wisconsin, and Iowa, and Illinois, etc... It's not unusual at all for tornado's to form in the upper midwest.

We have had several tornado warnings this year. Last year there was a touchdown about 10 miles from my house. We do get them alot!

downtown. I'd've known about it too since I live ~5 miles from the city's center. They were WARNING about it, yes. The storm has been relitively tame (not even as bad as that afternoon one we got in mid June).

There's nothing on the Star Trib site, the sirens are off, and MPR is just wrapping up with "The World". You'd think they'd be screeching about it if there was an actual touchdown.

Although apparently there was a funnel cloud spotted 9mi northeast of St. Paul. No word on whether or not that came to anything.

...but not unheard of (I remember hearing about one hitting downtown Nashville a few years ago).

It is kinda late in the season, but it's been pretty warm in the midwest for the past couple days. Here in Ohio tornadoes are somewhat common, but they're usually pretty minor (Not like those big huge suckers you see barreling through fields in Oklahoma or Nebraska). Every once in a while, though, we'll get clobbered. A couple years back, there were a pair of tornadoes that ripped through Van Wert (about 45 minutes away from where I live) and killed about 5 people. And this was in November.
