Uumm, if Katrina hit NOLA due to gays . . .
.

If Katrina hit NOLA due to gays (such debauchery!!), then Rita is about to hit Texas due to George Walker Bush's claiming he speaks to Jesus? Hhhhmmmmm, what would Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson say?

Falwell: "I really believe that the pagans and
the abortionists and the feminists and the gays
and the lesbians . . . ACLU (and the) People for
the American Way, all of them who try to secularize
America -- I point the finger in their face and
say 'you helped this (9-11-01) happen.' "

Robertson: "I totally concur. . . . We have adopted that
agenda at the highest levels of our government . . .
and the top people is, of course, the court system ."

2. No silly, that is Montana!
Although looking at the current governor, I can see how people would get confused. :)

4. You just know that will be a pip to read!
I am sure us gays will get the lion's share of blame. You know they did have a gay cruise down in Galveston once! The horrors! LOL!

Personally, I hope that this storm just gets so big it self-implodes!! It should matter, red state/blue state, no one deserves that kind of destruction and fear.

5. hey . . .

Are you sure this category 5 hurricane can't jump a land mass and hit, directly, a rather small Texas "ranch" in Crawford, only?

6. The big H is right on top of Bush's toy ranch; powerful to get so inland
In this map, we can see the big H inland is right on top of Bush's All Hat No Cattle ranch. It takes a very powerful storm to reach that far inland and still be at hurricane strength. Even a few of Falwell's and Robertson's most ardent cult members will pause to think.

9. Yeah, I notice the Retardicans are quiet about that.I have a
sister who lives in Dallas who I call just to chat. She is a Christian, but not really into politics. I always ask her about what her religious view asit relates to the current events. When I first told her about Katrina, and what some psycho-saints were saying. That Gawd was punishing new Orleans due to sin She first, tried to defend this. She threw a few scriptures at me and in the end , we both agreed to disagree about why Katrina hit.Well, then, here comes Rita Cat5. I called her back and we talked.when I asked her if she still was sticking to her theory, she got a little offended and said " It's not a theory, it's the bible" but she did express a different perspective as to why all this bad weather."There's sinners everywhere" and then she quickly changed the subject before contradicting herself and "oh,I gotta go.I will call you right back okay?" She has not called be back yet.it's been 12 hours hahahahaha.

12. yesterday's fundy encounter....
standing at the checkout line at the grocery store yesterday afternoon..

I'm behind a couple of people who were talking about Hurricane Rita, and Hurricane Katrina

Then one of them says just like 9/11 - the hurricanes are punishment from God for all the sinners... (yadda yadda yadda)

I'm rolling my eyes and let out a big sigh

One of them turns to me and says "Don't you think it's punishment from god for all those queers?"

me: If God wanted to punish a city for 'queers' don't you think he would have hit San Francisco with an earthquake? Or Fire Island or Provincetown with a Hurricane? But to answer your question - yeah, if it's punishment from god then it's for putting a freaking moran in the White House - twice.

17. I always thought Houston had a disproportionately large gay population
(I mean large population, not unusually large gay people), so maybe the whackos will get to drag that one out again. Other than that, who can anticipate what these f***wits ascribe to the alleged Supreme Being: hatred of Glen Campbell songs? stocks in oil companies? remembering the Alamo? Dude, maybe this God character is Mexican...after all, his son has a first name pretty popular South of the Border.
