Serious question regarding tonight's "The Daily Show".

During the piece tonight on 'lil Scotty's WH press conferencing, they went/cut to that old dude who proceeded to ask a series of bizarre, surreal "questions" (ie. weird religious-type gibberish). Do you all know who I'm talking about from tonite's TDS?

Now, going back to the early afternoon of September 11, 2001, during one of the very first live televised WH press conferences after the attacks (Bush wasn't even there yet, he was still flying around), there was a similar old man who, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PRESS CONFERENCE IN THE HISTORY OF THE US, asked a similar set of bizarre, surreal, totally irrelevant questions. Does anybody remember/recall who I'm talking about?

HERE'S MY QUESTION: Is this the same guy? On both tonight's TDS and that afternoon press conference back on 9.11? If so, who the fuck is this guy? Is this some kind of First Amendment/Free Press situation? Is he there for some freakish notion of "balance"?

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME. Who is this guy, and how the fuck does he have press credentials? (I'm aware of that gay/web blogger/plant asking leading/favourable questions of Bush pre-election last fall, but that's another sad RePug story). Even if it's NOT the same guy in both cases, please explain to me how these guys are even allowed NEAR the WH...



PS: I've been waiting for ages to ask you American folks just who that freak was on 9.11, but the whole thing was so fucking freakish (under those televised circumstances) I couldn't figure out how to reference/frame the question for you guys...

3. Thanx Skittles 'n fooj...but I hope someone has an answer for me (us).

This has been SERIOUSLY bugging me ever since I saw this whacko on TV on 9.11. I work in media, and I've been looking for an answer to this deeply disturbing mystery for ages.

Hell, I was even in Brooklyn, New York for the entire month of Feb./2003 on an extended visit with some family friends, and EVERY CHANCE I HAD I asked people about this dude. Be it out in bars, clubs, cafes, dinner parties I asked everyone and nobody knew what I was talking about. (Understandable, as most people in North America were at work on the morning of 9.11). Out on the town drunk one night, I even asked a Manhattan cabbie if he saw this guy, to no avail. (I was, and still am, fucking OBSESSED with finding out how this guy has press credentials.)

This is a real case study for the current state of American journalism. Even if this IS the guy from the 9.11 press conference, is he not considered a bit of a, um...disturbance? (On sooo many levels?). Can't they yank his press credentials and show him the door - for humanities sake, as mercy - given the fact he's deeply, ORGANICALLY disturbed? Why is he allowed to be there, especially on 9.11?

10. 2 Things, first Gucky Gannon is not gay.. he is a power whore.

Assuming he's gay because he shoves his prick in and beats on some rich and powerful old white guys ass does notr make him gay as he does it fro power and/or money. The equivalent is thinking a female sexworker in a Nevada brothel really does like you for who you are and not just your money.
