It would be funny if it weren't so fucking tragic.

2. Most of those people I knew who were Bush apologists
are no longer. Even my uncle, a DIE-HARD Republican, who spoke out against Clinton at every possible moment during those 8 years has absolutely nothing nice to say about Bush.

8. Gratifying, for sure. Only - at such a cost... Welcome to DU!
OY!

It's a shame that some people have to be awakened by being smacked across the face with a two-by-four. It's not like we didn't warn them...

Let's get this guy REMOVED.

IMPEACHMENT - NOW!!!!!!!!!!

3. Have you noticed those W bumper stickers have quietly disappeared??
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 04:07 AM by LosinIt
God, I love to revel in their pain. Can't you just feel it? Take that, you greedy motherfuckers.

5. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Barnes Jewish hospital
this past monday. In six levels of a crowded parking garage, I saw exactly two suv type vehicles sporting stickers of support for that bunch of criminals. Very edifying.

15. It's always SUVs, isn't it?
And, around here, they put the sticker right on the back window where it stares you in the face if you're behind them at the light.

I still, unfortunately, see a LOT of Dubya stickers. People around here either must be stupid, uncaring or very weatlthy.

I did, however, see and "F: The President" sticker of that genre on a car. The cute thing was it was being driven by a very darling little old man. :)

7. You know, I HAVE noticed. U hardly see them here in die-hard
Richmond, VA. Of course, this won't translate into votes for Dems. They will just heartily welcome a new Repub face.

13. You are correct, this won't translate into votes for Dems! We have
to stop blaming Bush and start placing blame on the entire republican party.

Example: "The Bush Economic Disaster Continues"
"The Republican Economic Disaster Continues"...

4. Or how pitiful they look?
The apologists are lookin' mighty ridiculous, or, as I prefer, pitiful, these days.

My brother is a "Bush apologist." He brags about the child tax cut he got. I asked him, "So how much did your property taxes go up since 2001? And how much are you paying for a gallon of gas since he robbed the presidency? And how much more a week are you paying on your grocery bills? And how much more are you paying for your health insurance? Blah, blah, blah.

They're all morons. They'd follow the Monkey-in-Thief into a a sewer full of shit for a candy bar.

10. Welcome to DU - glad you're here!
Some of 'em won't budge, mainly because it's MIGHTY HARD WORK to admit you've been had. To face it, first of all, and to realize what you're facing. And NOBODY wants to admit they've been had. NOBODY wants to admit they've been fooled. Especially this horrendously, and this many times.

17. Thanks for the welcome.
I appreciate it. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, Cali. As the idiot says, "Fool me once, and shame on you. Fool me twice...and...and you can't get fooled again." Or something like that. LOL.

18. Good one.
 The lemmings will follow the monkey into the sewer for a candy bar. Welcome to DU!

Maybe our lemming strategy has been all wrong. We should take advantage of the fact they will follow. All we need to do is get dubby to go to Gitmo or the Hague and hope enough of his cultists follow.

6. Pay attention to Hannity, O'Leilly, Snow, and others on Faux
I don't mean watch them. (Lord no!) Faux is beginning to lose market share because of their radical positions. With the incredible meltdown in * popularity it is soon going to be tough going for these guys. In order to turn it around they may have to let one or more of their extremist talkers go and put on a moderate or two. (I don't for a minute think they will put on a liberal.) It could happen.

And by the way, watch for all * popularity polls to be in the thirties within the next week or two.

23. We Need More Bumper Stickers Out There...Here's An Idea
Recently I saw some moran in a pick'em-up with the "w" sticker and some church stickers, too...he was hunched over at the wheel on this crowded Chicago expressway. It looks like he'd gotten more middle finger salutes and horns honked at him than mine. :bounce:

While I will see an occasional Kerry sticker on a car (in very Blue areas), I don't see other stickers out there. If there was ever a time for us to start speaking out with our bumpers, the time is now.

Here's a thought...

I know that DU sends out bumper stickers when someone gives a donation. Maybe, instead of the standard DU sticker, new donors could select from several slogans. Ones that we can throw on our cars that not only express our opinions and can get others to think...but to show our own solidarity...an easy way for one DU member to spot another.

Cheers...
