for more motivational posters like these:

Ideally, the quotes should be ones that sounded plausible and appealing to someone at the time.

5. usually do, wasn't room, problem has been Dems have too often...
politely looked the other way while the GOP has done this to us.

I have taught college for eight years at public community college and have no health insurance because of conservative budget priorities.

I could die, and my employers would let me.

My students nearly all work full time to pay their way through school because of the way financial aid has been restructured.

I have students who go to Iraq and some who have come back with that vaguely haunted look, and a couple of stories they can't bring themselves to tell.

This ugliness and death was caused by an idea. If you don't see the concrete consequences, the political debate can seem like arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

At the end of WWII, our troops marched ordinary Germans through concentration camps so they could see what they allowed to be done.

To the freepers and paid trolls here, you did this by supporting tax cuts for the rich and the ever more thinly veiled racism of the GOP. If I could, I wouldn't just show you the picture, I'd duct tape you to the body.

4. Have you thought about how the families of those victims would
feel with you using the image of their loved ones, dead, for political purposes?

6. Do you mean like Emmett Till's mom?
She let reporters take pictures of her son's mangled body after he was lynched, and it helped galvanize the public against Jim Crow laws.

Those photos were on the AP wire, so they have already been all over the place.

The purpose is to prevent this from happening again.

I think the loved ones would be more upset about what led to their death than someone trying to prevent it from happening again.

If you are ghosting for the right, you may have noticed that Rush Limbaugh used the photos of people jumping from the World Trade Center to underscore his point that Bush would be better on terrorism than Kerry.

Oddly, the right only seems to be worried about bodies on TV when it fits their agenda and makes them (at least in their minds) look good.
