Had enough of them. I thought they were a reasonably balanced paper. Overpriced and most of it on the web but, since I live in OKC, the local paper being, the worst in the country (Columbia Journalism Review), I would take it over the local rag any day.
There were two things today that anooyed me.
First the editorial stating that, despite lingering questions, Roberts should be confirmed.
I wonder if they would hire an editor-in-chief if they had lingering questions?
But what realy broke the camel's back was the anti-war ad in the middle of the front section.
In today's paper, there are three full page or more "posution" type ads. One from the Oil and Gas industry, One from the national Oil and Heat Alliance, and the anti-war one from a group called Win Withut War.
And only The Win Without War one has the word "advertisement" printed across the top. In fact printed FIVE times across the top of the two page spread.
They are all three "advertisements." This shows blatant discrimination by the staff of USA Today and they will never get another penny from me.
