up for work. I had a flight scheduled for 6:45 pm tonite. I'm glad my client released me yesterday @ lunch time. I'd have been stuck up in dat shit if they didn't.

1. Congrats...the ironic thing, is that it looks like Houston

might not get hit that bad at all. Thats the backlash that can occur when you order evacuations. If they turn out being for "naught" so to speak, people want listen the next time you order one.

Good for you! We left Corpus yesterday evening and drove back up here to San Antonio. (We have an apartment in Corpus) Heavy traffic but very steady. Drove 75 most of the way.

I was in Edinburg when my wife called about 11:20 a.m. to tell me about the evacuation. I finished what I was doing, got back to CC about 2:30, and left for SA around 6:30, got to SA around 8:30. I also left CC for the valley at 7 yesterday morning. So I put in a lot of miles in a short time because of this thing yesterday. My wife may have to go back to work in CC sooner, but I've got all the "essentials" (TV's, computers, clothes, perishable food) in my truck (except the food!) and I don't want to go back down until I have to. But if she needs to get back in the next day or so, I'll just head on down if necessary.

11. I bet they are stuck on the freeway. Yesterday traffic on 45 North was

thick but moving. I bet the TSA folk just couldn't get through the traffic to get there. My first assumption was that they evacuated but then I re-thunk it after seeing that the traffic is still backed up and they haven't done contra flow. So, I bet they just couldn't get into work. They said delays could be up to 4 hrs and that lines to get through security are out the door and around the terminals.

The news was saying that if you didn't have a tix, don't go to the airport, but if you did, be sure to show up HOURS ahead of time.

What local news station would you recommend? I'm streaming KHOU now (which is channel 11), but I see another station is available at KPRC (channel 2). Any suggestions?
