... we've got a couple loooong decades of baby-boomer rule to look forward to first. As somebody who is a member of that tiny demographic slice sandwiched between the 'X-ers' and the Boomers, let me tell you that following the Boomers through life has been like walking through a pristine alpine meadow about 6 hours behind a herd of 100,000 sheep. Everything's eaten down to a nub and there's dust and there's crap all over the place. :hangover:

If you were born between 1954 and 1965, ask yourself this question: "Do I feel like a member of The Baby Boom Generation, Generation X, or neither?" That would make 2016 or 2020 the most realistic guess. Unless one starts in politics at a tender age (mid 20s), they wouldn't have much of a record before age 45.

All I can say is not soon enough. We boomers are the cause of the current spate of woes. Given our utterly abysmal record thus far, I think the best thing to do is pronounce ourselves incapable of effective leadership and hand the reins over to the next generation.

11. As someone who is in between the generations

it will be a while before an Xer will be president. They only reached the age that they are eligible in the last couple of years. I was born in 1964, which makes me technically a boomer. I'm not of the "hippie" times, more like "That 70s Show" time.
