Us & Them
For all the poor souls who lost the nothing they never had. And for the rest of us just fighting for what is right because we have a tiny small voice. Remember we are fighting a tiny small man. Us and Them indeed.

Us, and them
And after all we’re only ordinary men.
Me, and you.
God only knows it’s noz what we would choose to do.
Forward he cried from the rear
And the front rank died.
And the general sat and the lines on the map
Moved from side to side.
Black and blue
And who knows which is which and who is who.
Up and down.
But in the end it’s only round and round.
Haven’t you heard it’s a battle of words
The poster bearer cried.
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There’s room for you inside.

I mean, they’re not gunna kill ya, so if you give ’em a quick short,
Sharp, shock, they won’t do it again. dig it? I mean he get off
Lightly, ’cos I would’ve given him a thrashing - I only hit him once!
It was only a difference of opinion, but really...i mean good manners
Don’t cost nothing do they, eh?

Down and out
It can’t be helped but there’s a lot of it about.
With, without.
And who’ll deny it’s what the fighting’s all about?
Out of the way, it’s a busy day
I’ve got things on my mind.
For the want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died.

2. Fighting for right because we have a tiny small voice?
That's not much of a reason.

3. Oh Jeez Give It A Rest
Armstrong once said about jazz "if you do not get it I do not want to explain it to you."

7. Jazz? Good lord, johhnyhatesjazz.
I do not want to get that, nor do I want it explained to me.

But in this case, it is pretty clear that the tiny voice is not the reason that we fight, but it is the reason we are ABLE to fight. We are supposed to have the right, and we feel a duty, to try to make our voices heard.

9. Oh, I get it. Just thought you might want to word the sentence
correctly. If you don't use the correct grammar much is lost in any language.

4. that's way cool
in a melancholy, depressing way. I never knew what half those words were, and they are so true, and the truth of them is so sad. What a world we live in.

6. Pink Floyd "I have always been mad"
What a world indeed. Life is just one big circle jerk of insanity.

10. some of it, if you look to much at the big picture.
I sit here in air conditioned comfort, with thousands of dollars of technology to play tunes, do research, play spider solitaire, and discuss things with strangers and perhaps even make some friends, if such a thing is possible, and I have at least a week's worth of food in my domicile which is only one month away from being paid for. In this corner, life seems to make sense, far away from the excrement that hit the fan in NOLA and far from the SNAFU in Iraq and far from the "crazy kicks going down in the city". I do not know why some people need to make things so difficult, nor what can be done about it, and I know also that I am only one good windstorm away from a power outage and a bunch of downed tree limbs to deal with, and drive-by shootings and home break-ins could make their way up here and so on. Sufficient unto the day are the troubles within reach. Serenity. Serenity. Serenity. Hami bah cha-yay - please save me. (and us). Dandylion break.
