ALERT: Kristol on Plame leak -- C-span 7:45 EDT Tuesday

William Kristol will appear on Washington Journal at 7:45 eastern time to talk about the Wilson-Plame matter.

Please jot notes for those of us out west.

2. I missed most of it (the repeat). At least two callers brought PNAC

up to Kristol and he managed to talk his way around one.

The other called him a chickenhawk and then proceeded to pick apart Bush and PNAC's premptive doctrine. He asked what role PNAC had in WH policy. Kristol has realized that the public is now informed on PNAC and takes a cavalier approach in defending its policies.

Kristol seemed a bit uneasy and was constantly clearing his throat during his reply to most of the callers that I heard.

On the question of Wilson's wife being exposed by Novak, Kristol attempted to water down the issue by saying the investigation would take some time before the identity of the leaker was known. He said the actions of the leaker were "illegal" but not "criminal". Kristol went on to chide Novak for releasing the identity of Ms.Plame. He also said Bush should ask his close associates where the leak came from.(lotsa luck)

I'm going to check back later after the congressional sessions for a repeat. It's well worth watching and give an insightful perspective on the mindset of the neocon imperialists.

he made me spit out my coffee when he started with the "Gee I just don't understand why all the hatred directed at this pres. blah, blah, blah- he's never seen the like. blah, blah, blah." Guess he was living in another dimension during the Clinton years- 'cuz there were a few folks who said some unkind things about him, if memory serves. Billy sure did seem uncomfortable to me, he was alternately smarmy and squirmy , he tried to seem modest and unassuming- I'm sure many bought it. sad.
