French Quarter NOLA Cam Back Online

NOLA has many online cams that you can view live at:

Most are down, but the Oystercam is back up.

This cam lets you see the inside of the Acme Oyster House.

You won't see much now, but it looks like the place is intact.

The last time I was in NOLA in August 03 I parked my butt on one of the stools you'll see in that stream. Had some mighty damn good gumbo that day.

Not much of an oyster eater, but I saw a lot of people suckin 'em down.

Great place ... good to see that it's one of the first cams up and running.

The night before the hurricane I was going through each of the cams. I was surprised to see people milling about the french quarter, some with drinks in their hands. That was the night before the hurricane hit. Who knows how they fared.

I looked earlier today and it wasn't there. Good to see things returnng to somewhat near normal although it may be a moot point after Rita.
