look at what i just found in another thread this morning, (which, i am taking the liberty of pasting here for you)

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The White House said President Bush will visit the U.S. Northern Command headquarters on Friday to monitor Hurricane Rita, which is forecast to hit Texas or southwest Louisiana on Saturday.

"This will give the president an opportunity to monitor the storm and to get a firsthand look at the federal government's assistance that is going on with state and local preparations and response efforts during Hurricane Rita," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Thursday.

Bush has been harshly criticized for the slow response by federal agencies to Hurricane Katrina.

He is expected to arrive at this air base in Colorado Springs after 6 p.m. and leave Saturday, White House spokesman Allen Abney said.
