What Would Jesus Do if he supported the idea of the 'Free Market'?

I simultaneously hear from RW'ers that America is a Capitalist Free-Market Nation and that America is a Christian Nation.

How can ANYONE in their right mind correlate Capitalism and Christianity?

The American mindset is...

When a Landlord throws out a poor family into the streets, it is 'fair', it is Capitalism.
(But, is it Christian?)

Is it Christian to gouge the prices of necessary products such as gasoline OR is it Capitalist?

Cursed are those who are hungry, get a job you lazy bum.

Blessed to you who are filled, gluttony is good.

2. Jesus would never be a capitalist, that's why he taught "No man can serve

two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." (Mat 6:24)

True Christians "pray" and mammon followers "prey".

3. capitalism and the concept of "free market" are two different things

One is a pernicious entity, the other is a great idea that is really only workable when it's 'near-free' market.
