2 CDN soldiers die in Afghanistan, Cretien meets the plane.

This week 2 Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan were killed, and the plane carrying their bodies will be met with an honor guard, salutes, and Jean Cretien.

We have lost over 300 soldiers in Iraq, and Bush hasn't even interupted his vacation or even a golf game to render honors.

I don't agree with the war(s), but does this administration have no shame in the slightest?

1. Bush is a narcissist... he couldn't care less how many have to die

... their deaths mean absolutely nothing to him, as far as paying respects go. He's only concerned about the numbers if they would effect his re-selection.

The bodies of two Canadian soldiers killed in Kabul, Afghanistan have returned home. Under bright blue skies, the military plane transporting the soldiers touched down at CFB Trenton Sunday morning.

A solemn crowd of family members, soldiers and politicians gathered at the Canadian Forces base in Trenton, Ontario, to mark their arrival.

The coffins holding Sergeant Robert Short, 42, of Fredericton, and Corporal Robbie Beerenfenger, 29, of Ottawa were greeted by a military guard of honour.

Short's son Josh and brother Mitchell were at the base for the ceremony. Prime Minister Chretien, Defence Minister John McCallum and Chief of Defence Raymond Henault were the crowd of dignitaries who braced against the cold to witness the two fallen soldiers' arrival.
