my thinking... it looks like a good compromise solution is Galveston to the border... and with the WNW as opposed to NW heading for 5 hrs or so now, I would think it's more likely to be further south... but still hopefully leaving Houston and Galveston out of the eyewall for any extended period of time... given the warm pool that Rita is about to enter, I expect she'll regain cat 5 overnight... Dvorak already says 143kts... a definite category 5... and there is a massive upswing in potential energy just to the WNW.
I expect landfall a little east of Galveston, but west of the border, as a category 4 strong... or possibly weak category 5 if there is no further ERC.
