"We look forward to hearing your vision so we can more better do our job "
That was the quote from yesterday's pep talk in Gulf Port (looked like a Klan Meeting to me, to tell the truth)...

Plucked here from Robert Parry's Latest:

What to do about the Bush Problem:

Disaster experts will tell you that a key to surviving a catastrophe is to quickly discard the old paradigm of normalcy and to act with urgency and creativity in facing the new reality. There is no time for fretting or wishful thinking; decisiveness and imagination are crucial.

The same holds true for nations. History has taught us that sometimes when a leader has made catastrophic choices, others – from within the ruling elite or from without – must do something to shatter the old paradigm of normalcy and protect the nation.

The United States may have found itself in such a predicament. Figuratively at least, the flood waters are surging through the first floor and – while some say the water won’t rise much more – others think it’s time to grab the kids and seek higher ground.

The stark question now before the country is: Should it sit still for the next three-plus years of George W. Bush’s presidency or demand accountability, including possibly the removal of him and his political team from office?

1. Speaking for myself,
I KNOW that if this administration were gone, the weight that has been placed around my neck these past several years has the possibility of being 'gone' (or at least on it's way to being 'gone'). However, we (the U.S.) has digressed to such a state that, like in third world countries, people 'pin-their-hopes' on new leaders who just are 'more of the same'. They stand and they protest and they wave, but the truth is, that the people in power will never give up their power - willingly (and why should they?)

2. Very true! (Now I wanna slit my wrists.)
It's hard to fathom the reality that a change-in-leadership does little to address the real problems our country faces.

The MSM has kept people polarized over hot-button issues (abortion, gay marriage, pot, etc) that have nothing to do with economics.

Sigh. But I agree, if this particular administration were gone I'd feel much better!

3. Yes but..........
there can be such differences. During Clinton's presidency, the world - at least most of it - was aspiring to peace. They had a strong leader in the US who made the difference. The entire world was not agitating like it is now.

Johnson called on a nation to examine their feelings about race and learn quickly because the nation was going to embark on a journey of civil rights.

We will never have a perfect leader for a perfect world but we can possibly have someone who calls upon our better qualities. That is a world with hope.

7. Bush and his cohorts are criminally insane
They need to be removed from power and it is Congress's job to make it happen.

Anyone who continues to support this misadministration should be considered a guilty co-conspirator.
