14 year old expelled from CHRISTIAN(really?) school due to parents lesbian
ONTARIO, Calif. -- A 14-year-old student was expelled from a Christian school because her parents are lesbians, the school's superintendent said in a letter.

Shay Clark was expelled from Ontario Christian School on Thursday.

"Your family does not meet the policies of admission," Superintendent Leonard Stob wrote to Tina Clark, the girl's biological mother.

Stob wrote that school policy requires that at least one parent may not engage in practices "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life style, such as cohabitating without marriage or in a homosexual relationship," The Los Angeles Times reported

1. and Bush wants these schools to be able to accept taxpayer vouchers
The school is free to have that policy, but we should not have to fund it with our tax dollars.

4. I'm positive that the Bible somewhere states that
You shouldn't visit the sins of the father on the son. Sounds like that should apply here, but it doesn't suprise me that these so-called Christians are only following those Biblical strictures that are convient for their conservative, fundie RW agenda. Hypocrites all!:grr:

7. The Old Testament says just the opposite (see below)
....I'm just quoting, I don't fully agree, although I can understand how that may be one interpretation. Without openly declaring guilt, shame, remorse and condemnation most, if not all religions, could hardly continue to exist.

6. The sins of the parents being laid upon their children....
...is right out of the Old Testament:

<snip>
Exodus 20: 4: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6: And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 34: 5: And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6: And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7: Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8: And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.
<end>

That pretty much clinches it for four generations or the next 80 to 100 hundred years for any sinners. No time like the present to begin, eh.:sarcasm:

8. And let's start applying this to a sin that is important enough to make it
into the Ten Commandments: Thou shalt not commit adultery. And then go from there.

I want to see every child whose parents have committed ANY SIN WHATSOEVER to also be expelled. There is no special status of "worst sin" for homosexuality.
