a Rita death on the highway out of Houston

came to Key West yesterday.

a friend of mine's brother, who had just survived a major lung operation, died in the traffic streaming out of Houston. all of it was too much for him to handle after such an operation.

now this morning I see a bus caught fire and there are more deaths.

and Rita hasn't arrived yet.

my mother told me of an evacuee being killed in a car accident in North Florida - believe it was a woman and her animals - don't know what happened other than that she died.
