I keep wondering...
When are the Iraqi Army / Police going to be adequately trained?

You would think that if it takes a raw recruit 12-16 weeks to be "combat ready" for Iraq duty, that it wouldn't take much longer to train Iraqis...

but TWO YEARS???

WTF?

2. More fun with numbers by Bush Admin
remember, whenever Rumsfeld says "we've trained over 200,000 Iraqis", he neglects to mention that more than half of the people we've trained have deserted. We can keep trying to train them, but keeping them around is a big problem.
