Have been listening to the Hurricane Watch Net via Shortwave on 14325 USB (www.hwn.org).....latest advisory from NOAA just read...

Landfall expected daybreak tomorrow as a cat. 3

From Port Arthur into Alabama, up to 25 inches of rain, including Metro NO possible.

I'm pretty sure that's what I heard, I'm out here in Las Cruces NM (50 miles n. of El Paso, so the signal weakens...

local hams in areas from Port Arthur to Morgan LA reporting winds of 40 mph already..

Calling in reports from Sargent, TX to Morgan City, LA, and 100 miles inland for reports....which are passed on to the National Hurrican Center.

Sargent, TX is SW of Lake Jackson/Freeport right on the Gulf (due south of Houston)
