I was just looking at the models for Rita and one is very worrisome
Granted, it's just one model out of 7 or so, and these are rarely that accurate anyway. But, one of the models has the storm looping back out into the Gulf for a second pass near the Texas/Mexico border. Wouldn't THAT just suck?

3. Actually, 3 models have it making a loop and heading.........
back south. There is not danger of this re-intensifying into another hurricane though but it could be problematic as far as rainfall is concerned.

LOL!

Ivan did that last year. It came all the way past my state, circled around the Atlantic, and back into the Gulf.

And the GFS (green) model has Rita coming right towards my state. :scared: But I'd rather that it did that instead of circling back around to the people who have already been hit by it. At least by the time it reached me it would be very weak -- likely nothing more than a few strong thunderstorms.
