I just turned on CSPAN and the woman guest was sitting with her eyes shut, and then her eyelids fluttered like she was falling asleep.

2. I'm watching this woman - she is got to be zonked out of her mind

She is slurring her words, has vacant looks and then she goes off on using God and Jesus to make everything is alright with Bush and his lies. She can't effectively discuss the issue of misinformation about the war so she falls back on jingoistic nonsense. I feel sorry for her that she lost a son - I can't imagine the pain - but she is choosing to ignore all evidence so she can pretend that her son did not die in vain. This woman is the pure definitive example of a repug today.

She will wake up one day and realize that she lost a son so a lying, thieving cabal of rich white men can become even richer. Then the pain will begin all over again.

3. It's her little act, like she is at peace and serene

she's perfectly happy that she sacrificed her child. I'll bet she's one of those people that pretend to go into a trance at the fundy church on Sundays and does the waving back and forth thing when singing hymns.

She does not know what she is saying. She hasn't come to terms with the loss of her child.

I saw my Mother go through this type of behaviour when my 10 year old brother died....they live in another world for quite some time and hold on to whatever helps....very sad.

how sad that she is still denying herself and her son some honesty.

9. That mother was not all there. Hard to watch.

I watched bits and pieces, but had to flip around the channels, 'cause this lady was out of it, and programmed to speak the fascist talking points.

I think sometimes people need to delude themselves, in order to get through the pain of being lied to and having a kid die due to the lies. I don't think this lady will ever snap out of it and return to reality. She was pretty far gone.
