Did anyone catch this great comeback by Miles O'Brien?
The sheriff of the town in texas where he is reporting from made the smart alec comment that he mobilized schoolbuses to pick people up. Miles said "and you told them to put their drivers' licenses in their socks so their bodies could be identified easily!" I thought it was subtle and brilliant.

2. I think I'm falling in love with Miles O'Brien ...
Not really, but I grow more and more impressed with him as a person and a reporter.

I saw him (and his producer) rescuing a puppy from a "dog carrier" trapped in rubble this AM. There was nothing remarkable about that , but his warm and loving reaction to the freed dod was so genuine ... How can you not love a guy with that much warmth?

3. I saw that too
He was comforting the scared, wet little guy saying "You're okay sweetie". That was a great moment.

5. There was nothing contrived about his response ...
The tone of his voice was loving and comforting ...

4. Miles has always been a decent guy
He's great on science and space issues, and CNN would give him 60 secs and time him on things like Mars exploration. He was stuck with that witch Kyra Phillips for a long time. Hopefully Soledad is nicer to him.
