The FTI contract was awarded on July 15, 2002, to Harris Corporation. Harris has a long-standing relationship with the FAA as a systems integrator of mission-critical communication systems. The Harris FTI team is comprised of top telecommunications and technical services and support companies. Under terms of the contract, the Harris team will work with the FTI Program Office to begin planning and coordination for all the Functional Areas. As a result of contract award, implementation and program detailing activities will rapidly move forward. This is an exciting and challenging time in telecommunications and we are striving to keep our users informed of our progress every step of the way.
