Official Rove meme: Iraq war protest a total sham- Palestine, et al.
I thank so many newly-active posters for pointing out that this protest, which so many have given much time and sweat to put on, is nothing more than a sham and should be discounted. Why? Because some speakers mentioned topics not directly related to the Iraq war(specifically, Palestine).

A very special message form Mr. Rove:
Please, spread it around! Better yet, go on Democratic Underground and pretend to be so utterly disgusted by the mere mention of any material not directly related to Iraq that you turn it off altogether!

Hurry! We have just a few hours left- if we can post enough messages we can take not only the wind out of their sails but leave them "infighting" for days, possibly weeks!

Hail Mars!

4. I don't. But thank you for suggesting it! Any other anti-war orgs you'd..
...like to smear, discredit or otherwise marginalize?

I'm all ears!

2. I thought there was a bit of overkill on the discussion of Palestine
but that doesn't reflect on the march itself. I am not turning it off. I just think people want to march and they're getting restless, it's better to pump them up about why they're there than to talk about ALL the injustice in the world before they can march.

3. Agreed...lets divide DU...kkkarl rove is doing his job...
This adminstration is criminal on so many levels..to leave out one would be criminal in itself. We need to call them to task for ALL they have done wrong..and not just the Iraq war!

AND I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE 2003. MANY OF US WHO ARE MAD AT ANSWER HAVE BEEN HERE A LONG TIME. TODAY IS ABOUT IRAQ. PERIOD.

THE OFFICIAL ROVE MEMO WOULD BE TO DILUTE THE MESSAGE OF ENDING THE IRAQ WAR.

9. Why are you posting a link to the I/P forum rules in General Discussion?
You should lay off the caps- you'll burst a blood vessel in your eye or develop a facial tic if you're that upset. I don't want that!

14. I'm sorry that's what you conclude- but where do I state that?
I may have concluded that you tried to marginalize the entire march by stating that because a speaker mentioned Palestine that you were going to turn off the entire march. Oh wait, heck, you said exactly that in your post so I'm not so sure I had to deduce much.

19. I'm sorry you find yourself identifying with such destructive behavior...
...but I can't do much about that. Still, it is an excellent way to not only marginalize the march but try to lower viewership.

7. Do you agree that it hurts the cause?
This could have been orderly, intelligent, on message. Instead it has turned into a big soapbox.

11. In a democracy, not everything is orderly or "on message". These...
...are real people, not FoxBots. Every one of them has a different angle on why they hate Bush and, ultimately, the Iraq war. Perhaps actors would have been more appropriate- real people tend to be a little too complex.

23. I'm not sure whether that was a Lie, Weasel, or Leasel. See your own words
"FUCK. IM TURNING THIS OFF."

Niiiiiiiice, so you really didn't mean that you were turning off the march, you were metaphorically "tuning out" A.N.S.W.E.R. when you said "IM (sic) TURNING THIS OFF."

Please post similar clues in the future so that we may all navigate the mysterious terrian that your messages provide.

21. well, i still think that ANSWER diluting the protest with other areas
of concern, even though important, is a huge distraction. the anti-war movement had not been doing that well until Cindy and the war should remain the focus of the protest. maybe i'm just bitter because all i got to see was coverage of ANSWER'S speakers and nothing of the march. that's probably what most other people will end up seeing as well.

i don't say this to knock all the hard work, just that i'm disappointed. is that okay with you or has rove gotten to me too?

of course, i don't even have a thousand posts so what do i know?
