3. This protest has no actual effect, because nothing actually happens in DC
but blowhards and hot air.

But shut down the streets of NYC, and it is going to cost these corporations a LOT of money, and it will be right outside the big plate glass windows of Katie Couric and Fluffy Bubblehead and all the rest of the fuckers.

4. umm...

The protests during the Republican Convention were well controlled, and there was no "taking over of the streets."

The marches on the media conglomerates - Fox and CNN were ignored.

:(

5. But there was something else going on then...the RNC
That is the whole point. The focus was on the RNC, and the marches were secondary. We need to make THE MEDIA the focus.

6. This is EXACTLY what needs to be done. ORGANIZE anti-media events
in every city and town across the country. PROTEST the media offices themselves. If need be, make it civil disobedience (peaceful but no permit) and SHUT THEM DOWN.

Anyone here willing to get arrested?

Anyone here willing and able to take on the task of organizing it?

7. That's an excellent idea.
Why did C-Span only cover the ANSWER rally and not the march? And CNN and MSNBC aren't covering it at all! Totally disgraceful and irresponsible.

8. I second that motion
Our biggest problem is the whores in the media who do not report what's important.

If the media actually did their jobs, George Bush would not be in the White House.

Protest the mainstream media directly.

meanwhile, make sure the story gets out every other way we can.
