If you're not getting LINK TV
which unfortunately, if you don't have DTV or Dish, you are probably not getting...

You are missing the real event. They are at the concert, Jello Biafra is on stage, Amy Goodman and Laura Flanders are having a real conversation about the real issues.

Damn I wish more people could see this. I never even heard of LINK before this.

3. Yeah, they aren't screaming...
or reading poetry.

And WOW! They just panned to the HUGE crowd.

I sure wish there were some media people walking around with cameras covering the whole event, because I suspect there are a lot of different things going on.

4. Those of you pissed about the CSPAN coverage
and the lameness of the ANSWER event, would be thrilled and soothed by this. Maxine Waters, followed by an activist from Lousiana, followed by Amy Goodman and Laura Flanders interviewing Waters, followed by Joan Baez singing a Steve Earle song!

No screaming, no off-topic rants about fringe issues, no obscure poetry -- but regular people mixed with big names, a solemn mood in a HUGE crowd, with the cameras panning regularly to show the size.

THIS is what I tuned in for this morning.

7. Someone else told me about it...thanks to whoever that was!
It wasn't even on my list of "channels I receive" on my TiVo.

But I am thrilled to have it.

And DUH, I just realized that I am watching on TiVO and I should be RECORDING it.

9. Link takes contributions so maybe we need to
Edited on Sat Sep-24-05 02:59 PM by mandyky
contribute money and then call our cable companies and get them to carry it. Then we could put CNN, MSMBC, and the coporate whores on Cable News outta business.

10. I did a little search of their programming on my TiVo
They also seem to carry Democracy Now, which I imagine is the in-studio version of the radio program.

There was a brief ad about how to donate but I missed it, if I see it again I will post the info.
