The hosts speculation is that, no matter what the outcome is, the loser will be contesting the election and there won't be a winner for a while.

5. question about paper receipts?

does that mean you have a printout of HOW you voted, or just that you voted?

I am concerned about BBV and having an accurate way of telling whether your vote was registered properly (although the printout could vary from what the machine counts). Is there also a receipt you turn in that could be used for manual counts?

But, I am also wondering if it is a receipt that says HOW you voted, couldn't there be some pressure for people to show this receipt as proof to family or friends that may have insisted or paid you to vote a certain way?

7. Not sure exactly what arcane is referring to, but...

... here in L.A. we're doing punchcards. I have my little stub from the punchcard. And no, it doesn't say how I voted. However, BBV is a different issue with punchcards, because they inherently have a paper trail. I suppose that doesn't prevent people from tampering with them, though.
