The Bottom Line: We Need Our Own Media Station
And the corollary is we have to start boycotting the cable stations.
The only thing the MSM understands is $$$$.

If we start boycotting the stations -- and the corporations that advertise on them -- we'll have an effect.

Until these things happen, we can have all the protests we want but they'll be totally without effect because no one knows they're even happening.

1. We need to get a thousand or so wealthy Democrats...
to finance the building of a new network. It's the only way.

11. Or maybe we could
use the system. Incorporate a new, liberal network and sell stock, say $100 a share. Hell even conservative investors would get on if it showed a good business plan.

I agree 100%

The problem is that they have more money than we have.

13. Air America Radio Deserves Support
They may be our only voice, imagine the world without them.

Whatever it takes, I'll be supporting them. Can't afford much, but I'm contributing to their support, and supporting the businesses that advertise there.

14. I contemplated giving money to...

...alot of different organizations -- buying signs, stickers, t-shirts, etc. Finally I decided this was the best use of my money. The potential for AAR to leverage the money I send to spread the truth far outweighs any other organization, I think.

9. Linktv is our televised media.
Edited on Sat Sep-24-05 02:32 PM by Gregorian
Having watched Linktv for the last few years, I can say they have our interests as their main goal.

Every night they have Mosaic, a collection of Middle East newscasts.

I suggest donating to their cause, even if you don't have Directv. They've grown in size and maturity as people like Harry Bellafonte and Cosby and Sher and the rest of us have supported them.

They exist, and they're growing. Our media is already here. Let's take advantage of it and maybe they'll become more mainstream.
