It represents the true mindless opinion out there quite well I'm afraid. You can add lots of Dems to that too. Dems being pro-war? Sure, you bet. Especially top Dems. All pro-war. Or too afraid or bought off to say they are'nt.

My "opinion" of the Amerikan publik sinks to new lows with each passing day.

Fact is, many people out there think that even if the war is wrong, we can't pull out now. "We have a job to finish" blah blah and it would be "disastrous" if we pulled out before the country was stabilized (I wonder at times which country they refer to in such statements....Iraq or here, since this country is falling apart at the seams as well, infrastructure wise at any rate).

The majority of people I see on a daily basis seem to think that pulling out of Iraq is wrong. Regardless of their opinion on the war itself, they become quite pro-war, often without even knowing or realizing it, when they say such things, and when they "support our troops". You would be amazed at how many people feel this way. Blind stupidity? Sure. But it does'nt change the fact that if you are anti-war, you are in the minority.

I don't really know what it will take to open people's eyes to the manipulations they are being subjected to in order to cajole them to support this farce. I have not even a clue. I'm afraid it will have to go on about as long as Nam did before people wake the hell up en masse. That's what the Neocons have been wanting and waiting for anyway, a chance to do away with the Nam stigma, and they not only did that but they have succeeded in persuing this war further and further with majority support from a sheeple public. My, how the sheeple forget so soon.
