10. Lots of people can answer better than I, but he was an incredible
person who worked his life away for election reform--a pioneer in outing the horrors of the voting "irregularities"we all know about now. He worked on lots of other progressive projects as well. Most of all, he was a dear human being, a friend to thousands, and very special to my son and me. He died of pancreatic cancer after a tough fight, helped by DUers who raised $50K to pay for his care. Activists don't get health care--that was his next cause. Lots of people here love him.

14. How about creating an "In Memory Of" Demopedia page for deceased DUers???
It seems that especially those DUers who knew Scott and Andy personally might take some pride and solice in putting such a tribute together. I'm suggesting they put it into Demopedia ... since I notice there's nothing there to remember them. ... and nothing there to answer the question of "Who's Andy Stephenson?" or "Who's Kephra?"

40. And may there be a day

When all and any of us who think so often of him can say that the
election reform /one person one undisputed ballot movement is a
done deal.

I think that one thing A. would like is for us to learn to be happy while we struggle for our causes.

Cuz someday our struggles will pay off and we'll need to know how to be happy then.

... on www.velvetrevolution.us. When that happens, I will post a thread to let you know. What a nice guy, and an inspiration to all of us.

in Remembrance:

He was there, when we leave this earth, we're suddenly everywhere.

94. Shoot, guys! I just found this thread...
Though I was thinking about Andy all weekend.

I really miss Andy too and can't even bring myself to delete his name off my cell phone contact list. The last protest I was part of in D.C. (Downing Street protest, in June) I called him from the crowd, hoping he would pick up; I was willing to hold the phone so he could hear everything. He was in the hospital by then and not well at all.

For the next march, we need an actual Election Integrity contingent, with a big orange banner screaming something like NO ELECTIONS, NO PEACE!

Andy'll be there.
