THE USA MEDIA IS BEING VERY SNEAKY IN COVERAGE OF THE MARCH
For those that have followed the March on the web, you will notice the same photo being used by several US media outlets.

A crowd shot of people in a park taken from a distant.

THAT SHOT IS FROM THE BRITISH PROTEST THAT HAD TEN THOUSAND PEOPLE.

This picture is being used by online papers in the states, plus network and cable station's webpages in the states.

They are trying to make it look as D.C only had ten thousand people.

They are trying to downplay the numbers.

I have just seen video footage from the D.C MARCH on sky news and all I can say is WOW!

There is way over 100 thousand people, I would put the crowd at around 300 thousand plus.

The international media is giving this story a lot of coverage, its second only to the Hurricane Rita.

They are also mentioing the lack of US MEDIA coverage in the story.

It must of been a life changing experience for people who went.

Two days left of protests, its going to be amazing!

3. Sounds familiar.....
just like all of 2004. Bush's handpicked crowds were passionate about the straight talking Christian, and Kerry was still "aloof" even with record breaking crowds screaming for him.

4. This has been happening since December of 2000, the "LW Bias"
Is total and utter BS. This is why Europeans and most of the rest of the world, know more about the rotten things our Government does around the world, than MOST of U.S. citizens do.

How's this?

REUTERS/Jim Bourg
A large rally of anti-war demonstrators gathers on the Ellipse near the White House (Top) as seen from the top of the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. September 24, 2005. Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in the nation's capital in support of anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan, who lost a son serving in the U.S. armed forces in Iraq, and demonstrated for the withdrawal of U.S. troops and an end to the war in Iraq.

Their are dozens of pictures in the REUTERS Gallery spread over about 11 pages, you have to hunt for them though, because they keep adding more pictures from today.

Here's an article too:

"...The crowds swelled throughout the day, and by late afternoon organizers of the anti-war demonstration said 300,000 people had assembled -- exceeding an anticipated 100,000. Washington police declined to comment on the size of the rally...."

5. I just got back
And I can assure you that there were way more than 100,000 people there. I knew it was going to be huge from the time I left BWI to go to the Greenbelt Station. The bus was so crowded that there wasn't any standing room left. Then when we got to the Greenbelt Station there were people everywhere. The train we got on was deemed by the conductor to be filled to capacity and he instructed people to wait for the next train which would be right behind him. I was starting to feel like this was going to be bigger than anything anyone had expected.

We arrived in DC at 11:00 because the first bus from Greenbelt wasn't until 9:40 and as we made our way over to the ellipse, I was overwhelmed by all the people. We fought our way through the crowd and were able to catch a few of the speakers including Ramsey Clark and Damu Smith, but many people were already lining up to march. We spent a little over an hour listening to the speakers and then decided to line up also. It took us two hours to march from the ellipse to the White House, which is normally a 15 minute walk.

The life and spirit of the people who were there was evident in the variety of people who showed up today. I have been to all but one of the rallies in DC and this was the largest and the most diverse by far. Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, families with small children, disabled Americans, Grandparents, veterans, soldiers and military families were all represented there. I was so impressed with the people who showed up and even though there were some messages that I didn't agree with, I believe everyone there felt a sense that there was one thing we could ALL agree on-- George Bush has got to go!!!!!!
