What Was That Helicopter Circling All Day At The Protest In DC

I flew directly over the White House - the most restricted airspace on earth - and so it could not have been a chartered bird. It had to be an official flight associated with the White House, I would think. It was sort of unnerving, just circling and circling, round and round all morning and afternoon. Anyone know what it was there for?

When I was at the July 4, 1983 "Rock Against Reagan" concerts with MDC, the Crucifucks, the Dead Kennedys, et al. at the Lincoln Memorial, there were at least five Park Police helicopters swooping in on us, spotlights blazing, supplementing the scores of foot and motorcycle Park Police who surrounded and later harassed the peacably assembled crowd.

On the other hand, perhaps that helicopter above the White House was simply on the trail of someone's drug dealer. Gee, wonder who that "someone" could be.
