One can be grateful that ANSWER set up the stage and organized the event and also be critical of their speaker/topic list. Cluster, it was.

When many, many, many DUers (who are pretty damned non-mainstream) found their speakers annoying and all over the map with too many messages and then turned the channel (myself included)... that should tell ANSWER something.

I watched Amy Goodman's coverage on Link TV and it was completely focused on Iraq. Why can't ANSWER do that or why can't another coalition of antiwar folks get the show up and running?

We need more than one big dog capable of doing this work...

While I would have prefered that they stay more 'on topic' I also understand that they are trying to educate people about ALL the issues and I stayed tuned. There are *real* risks in discussing Israel/Palestine in a rally meant to end the war in Iraq -- but the opportunity to educate makes it worth the risk.
