Anybody else into Harrison on the Edge? (Streaming now)
I heard him for the first time subbing for Mike Malloy, and I got hooked. He's being streamed live right now at KTLK http://www.ktlk.com/streaming.html

He's great. Seems totally unfiltered and really sharp cookie and funny too.

1. Thank you for the link! How do we get Skinner to post this show
in the radio links at the top of the page?

They're talking about 20,000 at today's LA rally now.

4. BTW, Los Angeles AM 1150 is a 50,000 watt flamethrower
I have a car button programmed for it here in San Francisco. Reception is great here at night. The SF Air America affiliate runs real estate infomercials in this time slot.

5. Now, the first 10 callers who guess Rush Limbaugh's weight
win a Simpson's Season 6 DVD. This show is wild!

6. I Knew Him In Chicago
He did a show called "Reality Check"...very cutting edge stuff.

I worked with him about '99...and to say the least, he's one interesting dude. Check his webpage and that just scratches the surface.

When I was in LA, I had KTLK on 24/7...it's a very good station. Our Chicago AAR affiliate is daytime only, so no Mike Malloy and during winter no Randi Rhodes.

Another good AAR station is KPTK in Seattle...another 50,000 flame thrower that covers from San Francisco up through Vancouver. Also KZRN in Denver...the home of Jay Marvin.

Here's for hearing more and more local voices on these and other AAR stations. Glad to see Harrison's found a home in LA and he sounded good filling in for Mike the other night. I would only hope other AAR shows would use substitute hosts rather than "best ofs".

Peace...

7. Thank you Kharma! You actually worked with Harrison?
Appreciate the recommendations. I'll get the frequencies for the stations you recommended so I can test them in the car.

The Chicago AAR affiliate may be daytime only for now, but isn't there also a really good show on Saturdays on Northwestern University's station called This Is Hell?

8. This Is Hell Is On WNUR - Northwestern University
They stream live at www.wnur.org.

Unless the network moves to another station, that station is doomed to daytime only existance. Maybe that will happen, but there aren't that many available marketwide signals on AM in this city...especially full time.

I'd far prefer a Pacifica station in this area...we're long overdue. Most times I scan several NPR stations, including Wisconsin Public Radio, that can have some interesting shows from time to time. At night, I get AAR from WCKY in Cincinatti...but they go to holy roller religion late at night.

Yep...worked with Harrison when he was with a program called LesBiGay Radio. He'd come in and tear up the joint every once in a while.

Peace...

11. Harrison followed at 10 PM by an interview with Joyce Riley
who is an expert on the effects of depleted uranium on soldiers (possibly more local programming). I think Harrison will be back tonight (Sunday).
