Poll question: WHY don't the Freepers hold a Pro-War rally on THEIR OWN?
Honestly... they are like pathetic ghosts.

WHY are they unable to think and organize for themselves??????/

2. But they really, really TRIED.....

Yesterday I sent the rally website to all the American Legion, VFW and VVA folks I could find in VA (within a couple of hours of D.C.).
Only person I heard back from was a hyperventilating liberal, asking me why Dubya's daughters weren't in Iraq. LOL

3. They crave the hostility
It gives them more fuel for the "victim" mentality.

5. My mother is in that 'victimization' boat as well.....
it is sinking fast, and she's getting crazier by the day.

4. They do. All the time.
But with turnouts of from zero to two, it's hard to get media coverage.

6. The organized labor movement and the AFL-CIO
My heart belongs to the workers movement, the organized labor movement, but that certainly does not mean it belongs to the leaders of the AFL-CIO and its unions leaderships, especially some particular ones.

I'm sad to say on April 10, 2003, the New York city construction unions held a pro-war rally in New York. These unions are incredibly corrupt, mob-controlled, kickback city, exclude minorities and screw over the rank-and-file on behalf of the bosses. The Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York held a similar rally during the Vietnam war, the largest pro-war rally in the city that time as well, which was right after the union leadership (working with some big businessmen) helped cause the "hardhat riot" where construction workers (and Wall Street brokers) attacked anti-war protestors on Wall Street a few days after the Kent State shootings. It's really disgusting, I think the organized labor movement is our best hope, but there is no worse enemy than some sell-out AFL-CIO bureaucrat or DLC DINO.

9. The numbers are small
One thing I forget to mention is to mention is the construction union Vietnam rallies were larger than the Iraq ones - one reason being that the AFL-CIO is a lot smaller than it used to be, so when it sells out, it does less harm.

You're right, the pro-war numbers are small and the anti-war numbers are large. I just thought it was sad the largest demonstration in New York for the war was run by a union confederation. Very sad.

11. If it was up to the Freepers,
"What if they threw a war and Nobody Came?" would be reality TV, not a movie.

Apparently that philosophy of participation permeates into the realm of "What if we threw a rally and nobody came?"

Not big on inconveniencing their own lives for their principles, only others' lives....

Cuz there two bizy, dontcha kno?
